Quality Internal Medicine

Is your dog coughing? Has your cat lost his or her appetite? Does your pet’s mobility suddenly seem impaired? When you notice symptoms that your pet may be ill, it’s important to seek treatment quickly to help prevent your pet’s condition from worsening.

Simply put, internal medicine addresses problems in your pet’s internal systems that can be treated through medicine as opposed to surgery. Examples include organ diseases, gastrointestinal disorders, heart diseases, infections, joint problems, metabolic problems, anemia, and more.

Symptoms to watch for in your pet include:

  • Vomiting or diarrhea
  • Coughing or breathing problems
  • Unexplained weight loss or gain
  • Not eating or loss of appetite
  • Problems urinating or unable to urinate
  • Itching

At Westside Animal Hospital, we provide quality internal medicine services to uncover and treat the root cause of your pet’s ailment. We take a rational, logical approach to diagnostics so we don’t waste your time or money (or cause your pet undue stress) with unnecessary procedures. We find out exactly what is causing your pet’s symptoms so that appropriate, effective action can be taken.

Please call our office right away if your pet exhibits signs of pain or illness.
